I just noticed something cool about bugmail (mail from Bugzilla). Bugzilla adds headers to each message, containing the product, component, and reason it was sent. For instance:
X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC
X-Bugzilla-Product: Firefox
X-Bugzilla-Component: Menus
That’s a really nice feature for those, who get a lot of bugmail, and like to organize it using message filters.
If only GMail let me filter on arbitrary mail headers. Sigh.
Yeah, it is really convenient although I really wish Thunderbird had a way of showing custom headers instead of just “Normal” and “All”. I would love to be able to see the bugmail headers in the mail view along with Subject, From and Date.
FWIW, the Mnenhy extension allows you to customize the header pane, in Thunderbird (and SeaMonkey).
