I guess they simply wanted to give a good feeling to all Firefox developers ;). Kind of giving back for the nice software. And fullscreen mode is just not suitable for that kind of thing.
Seriously, the community should have a little Firefox “swimming” across the screen in fullscreen mode from time to time. Like Wanda, the nice fish in Gnome. This would really boost Firefox usage, wouldn’t it?
Fox News Used FF as well (at least in the Boston area, I’m unsure if it was national news or just local, this was the “Fox 25” aka local news station)
