Why each user can&#8217;t create his\/her playlist is beyond me; so I&#8217;ve created my own, to post on my blog. <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: top;\" title=\"-)\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ilias.ca\/smileys\/smiley-smile.png\" alt=\"-)\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I tried to cut out as much as I could&#8230;honest!<\/p>\n<p>01. <strong>Fatboy Slim &#8211; Right Here, Right Now<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00000D9VL001001\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/right-here-right-now\/id381667571?i=381667841\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I first heard this at a club, when it was mixed with Spin Spin Sugar by the Sneaker Pimps, and thought it was cool. I then heard the entire song, specifically the intro. It is the probably the best intro I&#8217;ve ever heard. I love them long build ups.<\/p>\n<p>02. <strong>54-40 &#8211; Miss You<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/miss-you\/id256680344?i=256680484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I&#8217;ve always been a 54-40 fan. Some people consider them a pop-rock band, but that&#8217;s only because their song writing is so good.<\/p>\n<p>03. <strong>A Tribe Called Quest &#8211; Scenario<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/scenario\/id281327419?i=281327499\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: This should be put in vault, and preserved for future generations. One word: craft.<\/p>\n<p>04. <strong>Beastie Boys &#8211; Get It Together<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/get-it-together\/id16581147?i=16580836\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I had to get a Beastie Boys tune in.<\/p>\n<p>05.&nbsp;<strong>Bj\u00f6rk<\/strong><strong> &#8211; Joga<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000002HPV001002\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_002\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/joga\/id20833577?i=20833584\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: <acronym title=\"Also Known As\">AKA<\/acronym> &#8220;State of Emergency&#8221;. The strings, the groove&#8230;it&#8217;s beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>06. <strong>Coldplay &#8211; Clocks<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000069AUI001005\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_005\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/clocks\/id16028892?i=16028869\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Yeah, it&#8217;s overplayed; but this is one of very few tunes that I&#8217;m still not sick of. I can listen to it over and over again, and not get enough of it.<\/p>\n<p>07. <strong>Def Leppard &#8211; Let It Go<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000001DVD001001\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=63196261&amp;s=143455&amp;i=63196405\">iTunes<\/a>]: Some of you probably don&#8217;t know this, but Def Leppard used to be a rock band. <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: middle;\" title=\"-)\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ilias.ca\/smileys\/smiley-smile.png\" alt=\"-)\"\/> And a great one at that.<\/p>\n<p>08. <strong>Diana Ross and the Supremes &#8211; You Keep Me Hangin On<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00000K1I1001008\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_008\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/you-keep-me-hangin-on\/id47610?i=47562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I don&#8217;t know if there&#8217;s a specific reason for including this. Everyone should have a Supremes &#8216;best of&#8217; album in their collection; and this is just one of my favourite tunes.<\/p>\n<p>09. <strong>Finley Quaye &#8211; It&#8217;s Great When We&#8217;re Together<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000002C1E001002\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_002\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/its-great-when-were-together\/id211423363?i=211423880\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I&#8217;m quite disappointed Finley Quaye wasn&#8217;t more popular than he was. I remember listening to his &#8220;Maverick A Strike&#8221; album, while walking to work everyday in hot whether. &#8220;It&#8217;s Great When We&#8217;re Together&#8221; is just pure class.<\/p>\n<p>10. <strong>Guns N Roses &#8211; 14 Years<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000000OSG001002\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_002\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/14-years\/id114603?i=114579\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Hehe. Get dumped by a girl, then listen to this song. <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: top;\" title=\"-)\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ilias.ca\/smileys\/smiley-smile.png\" alt=\"-)\"\/><\/p>\n<p>11. <strong>Gustav Holst &#8211; Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00000AFQQ001004\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_004\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/the-planets-op-32-iv-jupiter\/id56556187?i=56555436\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Maybe Gustav Holst isn&#8217;t mentioned in the same instances as Ludwig van Beethoven or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but he&#8217;s my favourite composer. His &#8220;Planets Suite&#8221; is a fantastic example of how a story can be told simply through music, which is why I think he&#8217;s the grandfather of movie music. In Boston, I was lucky enough to get a copy (this was before MP3s) of &#8216;The Planets Suite&#8217; played by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osm.ca\/\">Montreal Symphony Orchestra<\/a>, and I played the CD in our high-school music classroom during lunchtime. The music department head came by, as &#8216;Mars, the Bringer of War&#8217; was playing, and commented, &#8220;John Williams ripped someone off.&#8221; &#8216;Jupiter, the Bringe of Jollity&#8217; is such a beautiful peace of music, its climax will almost bring a tear to your eye. It&#8217;s no wonder why it was Princess Diana&#8217;s favourite song (someone else later put lyrics to the melody), and played at both her wedding and funeral.<\/p>\n<p>12. <strong>INXS &#8211; The Stairs<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000066RO2001003\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_003\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/the-stairs\/id79033761?i=79033748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: One of the things I love about INXS is their ability to make something so simple sound so full. &#8220;The Stairs&#8221; is as uplifting and inspirational as you&#8217;re going to hear.<\/p>\n<p>13. <strong>Kula Shaker &#8211; Temple Of Everlasting Light<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mjy2-o8qRt8\">Youtube<\/a>]: This is another &#8220;why weren&#8217;t they more popular&#8221; band. When that chorus kicks in, be ready&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>14. <strong>Led Zeppelin &#8211; The Battle Of Evermore<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/the-battle-of-evermore\/id267651206?i=267651248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Led Zeppelin is the greatest band&#8230;ever. Try to put together a &#8220;Best of Led Zeppelin&#8221; album. It&#8217;s a box set!<\/p>\n<p>15. <strong>Motley Crue &#8211; Live Wire<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00008OLIO001001\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/live-wire\/id324094213?i=324094406\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Yeah, I admit it. I&#8217;m a fan of &#8220;the Crue&#8221;. <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: middle;\" title=\"-)\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ilias.ca\/smileys\/smiley-smile.png\" alt=\"-)\"\/> Just don&#8217;t listen to this while driving. You&#8217;ll get pulled over for speeding, without realizing how fast you were going.<\/p>\n<p>16. <strong>Our Lady Peace &#8211; Hope<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000002BYL001004\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_004\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/hope\/id254926071?i=254927292\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I feel sorry for OLP. How do you follow the Naveed album? Naveed is the soundtrack to my high-school years.<\/p>\n<p>17. <strong>Portishead &#8211; All Mine<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000003TSP001002\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_002\/104-2038832-3339100\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/all-mine\/id6265097?i=6265080\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: The lyrics. The production. The vocals on &#8220;mine&#8221;. It&#8217;s scary good.<\/p>\n<p>18. <strong>Rage Against the Machine &#8211; Township Rebellion<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B0000028RR001009\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_009\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/township-rebellion\/id191450810?i=191451337\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Did I say that Naveed is the soundtrack to my high-school years? Naveed and Rage Against the Machine&#8217;s debut album are the soundtrack to my high-school years. Township Rebellion is the best example of how cool RATM is.<\/p>\n<p>19. <strong>Rush &#8211; The Weapon<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000001EST001005\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_005\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/the-weapon\/id301474136?i=301474142\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: I&#8217;m a male musician, who grew up in Toronto. I was listening to Rush before I could walk. After that, I <em>really<\/em> became a fan. In my opinion, &#8216;Signals&#8217; is their best album.<\/p>\n<p>20. <strong>Soul II Soul &#8211; Back To Life<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000000WGX001009\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_009\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/back-to-life\/id14134975?i=14134971\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Another one of those &#8220;I&#8217;ll never get sick of&#8221; tunes. I wonder about the origin of that drum loop.<\/p>\n<p>21. <strong>Supergrass &#8211; Moving<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/moving\/id14688744?i=14688574\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: There&#8217;s something about that chorus, I can&#8217;t put my finger on. The harmonies, the hand claps, the production. I love it. Hand claps are underrated.<\/p>\n<p>22. <strong>The Clash &#8211; The Call Up<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00004BZ16002004\/ref=mu_sam_wma_002_004\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/the-call-up\/id256932845?i=256933178\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: If someone mentions &#8216;punk music&#8217;, what do you think of? Driving simple guitar lines, and screaming vocalists? The Ramones? The Sex Pistols? The Clash are one of the most experimental bands I&#8217;ve heard, and they are amazing songwriters. &#8220;The Call Up&#8221; defies all the stereotypes of punk.<\/p>\n<p>23. <strong>Nina Simone &#8211; Sinnerman<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00009PJPJ001014\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_014\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/sinnerman\/id308990590?i=308990713\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: If you&#8217;re not a fan of jazz, you haven&#8217;t heard Nina Simone.<\/p>\n<p>24. <strong>The Verve &#8211; This Time<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000000WF0001011\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_011\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/this-time\/id17344540?i=17344494\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: A friend of mine once asked me, &#8220;If you were stranded on an island, what three albums you most like to have?&#8221; I think &#8216;Urban Hymns&#8217; may be one of them.<\/p>\n<p>25. <strong>Tom Petty &amp; the Heartbreakers &#8211; Runnin&#8217; Down a Dream<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/runnin-down-a-dream\/id359171619?i=359171994\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Usually, when listing the best songwriters of all time, people tend to mention John Lennon, Paul McCartney, maybe Paul Simon, Johnny Cash. In my opinion, Tom Petty is the best songwriter ever.<\/p>\n<p>26. <strong>U2 &#8211; Please (Single Version)<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000006UYO001001\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/please\/id377245?i=377241\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: The first time I heard this was when U2 played it on the MTV video awards (probably &#8217;97). By that time, a typical MTV award performance had become either a high-adrenaline, &#8216;get the crowd involved&#8217; type performance, or a quiet, intimate ballad. &#8220;Please&#8221; is neither; and for the first time in a long while, the music was so good, I forgot I was watching a performance. &#8220;Please&#8221; is not a one-trick pony. It&#8217;s a dynamic journey.<\/p>\n<p>27. <strong>Spacehog &#8211; Mungo City<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B0000062VE001004\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_004\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/mungo-city\/id281705759?i=281705764\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: This tune is catchy enough as it is, but when that robot starts singing the chorus, only Spacehog can pull that off. This song begs for volume.<\/p>\n<p>28. <strong>I Mother Earth &#8211; Levitate<\/strong> [<a href=\"https:\/\/ilias.ca\/audio\/levitate-sample.mp3\">MP3<\/a>]: It&#8217;s just a forgotten great tune&#8230;a forgotten great album.<\/p>\n<p>29. <strong>The Rolling Stones &#8211; Gimme Shelter<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B00006AW2G001001\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_001\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/gimme-shelter\/id76535155?i=76535158\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: Her name is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocksoff.org\/merry.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Merry Clayton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>30. <strong>Massive Attack &#8211; Teardrop<\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/music\/wma-pop-up\/B000006045001003\/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_003\/103-9005483-5853439\">WMA<\/a>][<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ca\/album\/teardrop\/id17641181?i=17641110\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a>]: There are a couple of friends of mine that I can&#8217;t thank enough, for turning me on to Massive Attack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iTunes Music Store has a section called &#8220;Celebrity Playlists&#8221;, which contains playlists made by music celebrities.
