Back in 2005, I blogged about my playlist<\/a> (ala iTunes celebrity playlists). It’s been a while and there’s a lot of different music I’ve heard since then, so I’ve decided to create a second playlist.
\n Note: These are tunes I’ve discovered or rediscovered since 2005, not just music that has been released since then.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Saul Williams\u00a0–\u00a0“List of Demands (Reparations)”<\/a> (I heard this on a Nike ad, and loved it. Everyone I’ve played this for has also loved it.)<\/li>\n
  2. Mylo – “In My Arms”<\/a> (This song has the highest play count in my entire iTunes library.)<\/li>\n
  3. Company B – “Fascinated”<\/a> (I’m embarrassed to say I like this song \ud83d\ude42 )<\/li>\n
  4. Duran Duran – “Come Undone”<\/a> (This song never seems to get old. Almost every time someone around here’s it, they ask me what the name if the song is.)<\/li>\n
  5. Hot Hot Heat – “Talk to Me, Dance with Me”<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. Howard Jones – “New Song”<\/a> (At first I downloaded this song for the nostalgia. Then I realized how cool and unique this song still is)<\/li>\n
  7. Kate Bush – “Cloudbusting”<\/a> (If you already know this song, you already know I’m a fan because of the tagline on my blog. Check out the video for it and “Something good” by Utah Saints<\/a>, which samples it.)<\/li>\n
  8. K’s Choice – “Everything For Free”<\/a> (It’s too bad they weren’t bigger, because they were really good songwriters.)<\/li>\n
  9. Midnight Oil – “Blue Sky Mine” <\/a><\/li>\n
  10. Pink Floyd – “The Great Gig in the Sky” <\/a><\/li>\n
  11. Jane’s Addiction – “Three Days” <\/a><\/li>\n
  12. Republica – “Ready To Go” <\/a><\/li>\n
  13. Stardust – “Music Sounds Better with You” <\/a><\/li>\n
  14. Wu-Tang Clan\u00a0–\u00a0“Da Mystery of Chessboxin'”<\/a> (I didn’t have enough room on my first playlist to include Wu-Tang)<\/li>\n
  15. Keane – “Is It Any Wonder?” <\/a><\/li>\n
  16. Sneaker Pimps\u00a0– “6 Underground (Nellee Hooper Edit)”<\/a><\/li>\n
  17. Florence + the Machine – “Spectrum (Say My Name)”<\/a><\/li>\n
  18. Red Hot Chili Peppers\u00a0– “Breaking the Girl”<\/a><\/li>\n
  19. Livvi Franc\u00a0– “Now I’m That Bitch (Kaskade Mix)”<\/a><\/li>\n
  20. The Verve – “Bitter Sweet Symphony”<\/a><\/li>\n
  21. Ladyhawke\u00a0– “Magic”<\/a> (I first heard this on an episode of Entourage<\/a>, which is a great place to discover new music.)<\/li>\n
  22. Van Halen – “I’ll Wait”<\/a> (I couldn’t decide between this and “Panama”, which has always been my favourite Van Halen song. Most people have already heard “Panama”, and this one deserves to be discovered.)<\/li>\n
  23. U2 – “Pride (In the Name of Love)”<\/a><\/li>\n
  24. The Cult – “She Sells Sanctuary”<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
