In my last post<\/a>, I talked about Firefox now indicating which feed items are unread. In this post, I’d like to post about the other change I think people should be more aware of – you can now set the URL Firefox goes to when opening a new tab.<\/p>\n

This one’s pretty simple.<\/p>\n

  1. In the Firefox location bar, type about:config<\/strong> and press Enter.

  2. Click I\u2019ll be careful, I Promise!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Search for the preference: browser.newtab.url
    \n\"\"
    \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Double-click on it, and set the value to whatever URL you want.
    \n\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The default value is about:newtab<\/strong>.
