If you click on it, your default browser will open, going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mapquest.com\/\">MapQuest<\/a> website, in search of a map to that person&#8217;s address. Pretty nifty. <img decoding=\"async\" title=\";-)\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ilias.ca\/wink_n.gif\" alt=\";-)\" align=\"top\"\/><br \/>\nSome people might prefer to use <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/\">Google Maps<\/a> for this feature. Here&#8217;s how to change it:<br \/>\nIt would probably be best to use the <a href=\"http:\/\/aboutconfig.mozdev.org\/\">AboutConfig extension<\/a>; so if you don&#8217;t already have it installed, install it.<br \/>\nUsing the AboutConfig extension, look for the preference:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #333399;\">mail.addr_book.mapit_url.format<\/span><br \/>\nDouble-click on it, and edit the value to:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-size: 13px; color: #333399;\">http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=@A1,%20@A2,%20@CI,%20@ST,%20@ZI<\/span><br \/>\nFor more info see:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/mailnews\/arch\/addrbook\/hiddenprefs.html#Map_It_pref\">http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/mailnews\/arch\/addrbook\/hiddenprefs.html#Map_It_pref<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you use the address book in Mozilla Thunderbird, you&#8217;ll notice a little button that appears in Address area of the Card Summary Pane, entitled Get Map.
