Firefox is FAST! but it really get's into my nerves on startup...
As it takes some time to load and has no 'splash' screen or similar visual alert to the 'launcher' , I allmost allways remain in doubt over if I really double-clicked it's icon.
This seems to be a general behaviour nowadays (maybe SW developers believe we all have those nice fast machines they deal with) and I would like to see it corrected. Poco Mail does it in a way that even in my slow machine I know I 'lauched' it.
Could You, fine people who code this fantastic browser, take this into consideration?
Thanks for reading

After I installed Load Time Analyzer firefox extension, my firefox browser crashed, and I was not able to launch it. I uninstalled software, and installed again, and still am not able to launch firefox browser. I am getting message that firefox.exe encountered a prolem and needs to close. This happened on my 2 WinXP SP2 machines. Also I installed and tried to launch new 2.0 Firefox version (as well as older 1.5?), but neither of them cannot be launched. Would you have any suggestion how to fix this problem?

Are there instructions for upgrading to the new server somewhere? Some of the old newsgroups seemed to work, but some of them suffered from what might be a renumbering problem: the header shown did not match the message displayed when you clicked on it. I would guess this is due to a cache somewhere. Is there a way in the UI to flush this cache? (For thunderbird I finally ended up going to the [profile]/News/news.mozilla.org/ directory and manually deleting the files of the offending newsgroups.)
